TNC 426 - Heidenhain LE 426M control (retrofit)

The Heidenhain LE 426M (BC120 DSP) is a logic unit from the LE series, serving as the central control module for CNC milling machines. It handles position and speed control as well as the coordination of all axis movements within the TNC 426 control system. The integrated drive control and high-performance DSP architecture enable precise and dynamic machining. The LE 426M is specifically designed for use in CNC machining centers equipped with the Heidenhain TNC 426 control. It supports up to 5 axes plus spindle, making it suitable for complex 5-axis machining tasks. The unit features 6 inputs for position encoders and 6 inputs for speed encoders, each with 1-Vpp or EnDat interface. Linear interpolation is simultaneously possible for all 5 out of 5 axes. Key features of the LE 426M include an integrated PLC, an HSC filter for high-dynamic machining, and an integrated hard drive with 1.5 gigabytes of flash EPROM memory for the system software. The digitally controlled spindle speed reaches a maximum of 30,000 rpm at 2 pole pairs. The unit is supplied with a matching cover for flat ribbon cables and is classified as logic unit LE 426CB.
