The SCHUNK PGN-plus 160/2 is a universal 2-finger parallel gripper from the proven PGN-plus series by SCHUNK. It is designed for precise and powerful handling of workpieces in automated manufacturing and assembly processes. The drive concept is based on an oval piston, enabling maximum gripping forces within a compact form factor. The PGN-plus 160/2 is primarily used in robotics, handling technology and automated production systems. It is well suited for applications requiring long gripper fingers and can be mounted universally and flexibly via attachment options on two gripper sides in three bolting directions. The energy supply is available either via hose-free direct connection or through fittings, offering additional flexibility during integration. The robust multi-tooth sliding guide ensures high precision and a large moment absorption capacity, enabling the use of long gripper fingers. Extensive sensor accessories allow a wide range of query options and stroke position monitoring. The compact dimensions minimize interference contours during handling operations. The product is available in various versions, including dust-proof, high-temperature and corrosion-protection variants. A mechanical gripping force retention version (AS/IS) is also available, maintaining a minimum gripping force even in the event of a pressure drop.
