The Philips PM3231 is a dual-beam oscilloscope (two-channel oscilloscope) from Philips. The instrument is designed for the display and analysis of electrical signals on a screen with a measurement graticule and is intended for professional metrological applications. It features two independent Y-input channels as well as an X-amplifier for horizontal deflection. The PM3231 is suited for use in electronics laboratories, equipment development environments, and service settings for electronic assemblies. The instrument supports internal and external triggering as well as brightness modulation. For horizontal deflection, either the internal timebase generator or an external voltage can be selected. Available accessories include attenuator probe sets, a multipurpose recording camera (PM 9380), a stray-light mask (PM 9370), an adapter (PM 9374), and a carrying case. The instrument is equipped with a Y-amplifier including attenuator unit, a trigger pulse shaper, a timebase generator, a cathode ray tube circuit, and a calibration voltage generator. The power supply is adaptable to local mains conditions. The instrument incorporates a fuse and is constructed with protective earth.
