The Fanuc A20B-1000-0560 is an AC Axis Control Board (Analog Velocity Control Unit, VCU) designed for use in CNC-controlled machine tools and industrial robots. As a control board, it handles the analog velocity control of a single servo axis channel, ensuring precise position and motion control within the drive system. The board is designed for installation in single-channel AC servo drives of the A06B-6050 series and was developed specifically for the first generation of Fanuc AC servo motors with red caps. It is compatible with Fanuc controls of the Model 0 series through AC servo motors of the series 30. The board is typically used in drives featuring anodized AC servo drive housings. A key characteristic of this component is the existence of six different versions, distinguished by the suffix "/xx?" in the part number – the digits indicate the revision number and the letter denotes the build variant (e.g. A, D, E or F). The individual versions are not interchangeable, so the complete version number must be specified when ordering. The board supports the detection and signaling of various alarm conditions, including overvoltage (HV), overcurrent (HC), undervoltage (LV), overload (OVC), tachogenerator failure (TG), and DC discharge alarm.
